Beatrice Glisson Dillard, Bea Bea to those who knew her, passed away peacefully on Wednesday Morning January 27th, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with Chronic Heart Failure. Family and Friends who knew “Bea” knows how she was a fighter. She never let her afflictions get the best of her and kept on going with a smile and wave of “hey baby”. She was an example to us all on how to live life to the fulliest with no matter what you are dealing with. Beatrice was born to parents Santa Marie Esgro and John Lee Glisson, on May 5th, 1948 and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She attended Humes High School and was a very proud “Humes Tiger”. She married James Eddie Dillard, her life partner on February 22nd , 1968. They had three children, Michael Shannon, Elizabeth Marie, Lisa Michelle. The family of five had more good times than bad and will never forget all the great adventures they had together. One of Beatrice’s proudest things in Life were her four grandchildren, Deven Sanders (Kyle),Chelsey Riley(Chelse) Hanna Landers(Supergirl), John Landers(JM). She held them close and spent as much time as she could with them, leaving them with many wonderful memories and life lessons. Beatrice is predeceased by her loving husband, James Dillard and her son Michael Dillard. Brothers Christopher McCutchen, Al McCutchen, Joseph McCutchen, Butch McCutchen, She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Landers, Lisa Sanders, sisters, Deloris Bishop, Mary Thatcher, and again her grandbabies, Devin Sanders, Hanna Landers, John Landers. Beatrice would want everyone of her dearest friends and family to know how much she loved them…. You all kept her going with great company and many wonderful memories. She would want us all to continue to live life to the fullest as she did…. Beatrice’s request will be honored by her daughters, she is to be cremated and buried at Calvary Cemetery where she can keep an eye on Mikey….
